The Narrative Nook is a curated storytelling platform where authors publish original work and readers support it through memberships and clubs.

We focus on clarity, disclosure, and respectful discussion so that discovery feels calm and intentional.

By signing up to post on this platform, authors must agree to post appropriate, non-explicit original work.

Appropriate, non-explicit original work is defined as:

• No open-door sexual scenes of any kind.
• No descriptive gore to an excessive degree.
• No direct demonic devices.
• Posted work must contain a brief overview of the content enclosed, and the author must outline the genres, tropes, and any potential content triggers that appear in their work.
• Grave content is acceptable, but it must be disclosed as such to the reader, so that sensitive readers may choose to avoid such content if they please.
• Authors are expected to properly cite any quotations or extensive references within their work.
• Authors acknowledge that when they post, their work will be available to all other users of the Narrative Nook, or restricted to paid users if the author so chooses.

Fan-fiction content is permitted, but it must be produced under a ghost account that will not be allowed to be placed behind Narrative Nook's paywall, as the characters, world, and plots are already copyrighted by established authors.

If an author wishes to produce fan fiction in addition to their original work, their Narrative Nook fan fiction accounts must be separate.

Readers agree to engage respectfully and to honor author boundaries, including paywall restrictions and content notices.

• Comments with foul language or extreme derogatory nature are subject to removal.
• Authors are not obligated to view comments, and comment threads and responses are not permitted under the general comments section.
• Chat features are included in the reading clubs and writers room small groups.
• Readers may not repost or redistribute paid content without explicit author permission.
• Reviews should remain constructive and focus on the work rather than the author.

Editorial support is optional and collaborative. Editors may offer suggestions, but authors decide what to accept.

Editorial participation does not guarantee publication, distribution deals, or paid placement.

If authors use AI assistance for drafting, outlining, or editing, they must disclose that assistance in their work notes.

AI-generated material must be reviewed, edited, and owned by the author, and may not violate third-party copyrights.

Narrative Nook may use automated tools to support moderation, tagging, and abuse prevention.

Narrative Nook provides the platform, discovery tools, and community spaces. We are not a publisher of record.

We reserve the right to remove any comment, posted work, or user profile if the terms of this agreement are violated.

We do our best to keep the community safe, but we are not responsible for off-platform behavior or private agreements between users.

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. Applicable processing fees may be deducted before author payouts.

Authors set pricing for paid content and can choose free or paid access per story.

Chargebacks or refunds may result in delayed or adjusted payouts.

Authors are responsible for reporting income and taxes in their jurisdiction.

Narrative Nook is built by readers and writers who want a calmer, more intentional space for stories.
